"In March 2012, I decided to change my life for the better. After suffering from years of health issues like migraines, stomach pains, depression and emergency surgery, I had decided that enough was enough. I was no longer going to allow my medical issues control my life, especially if there was something that I could do about it. No more bags of medicine to leave the house, or medicine to drink before I could eat (because my body could not digest what I was putting into it after the emergency surgery) and no more just sitting at home out of fear of getting sick.

I started eating clean and leading a more active lifestyle and lost 34 pounds. No more meds, no more migraines and happier. In March of this year I celebrated my one year “cleanaversary,” but found that my forward movement, motivation and journey had come to a slight stand still. I had hit a plateau for months and with the lack of motivation I wasn’t sure how to push forward and I felt myself slipping back into old habits.

In May I decided that I wanted to do something for me and to get my journey back on the right track. I am turning 30 this year and what better way to celebrate my 30’s and get my journey back on track than creating a BIG goal, and compete in my first bikini competition (YIKES!). After weeks of contemplating and doing my own internet research I decided to take a leap, and I found Angie.

I had worked with several other personal trainers in the past, but no one like Angie. She has put me back on track and has taught me so much. Having Angie to help me incorporate lifting and teaching me about my diet has made me stronger physically and more confident, mentally and emotionally.

Because of her I can see and feel a change. She pushes me outside of my comfort zone and gives me the encouragement I need to keep pushing forward. She has helped me find an enjoyment and passion for my journey again. My weight loss journey and journey to the stage has picked up speed and I finally broke a 6 month plateau. I’m in a scale and confidence range that I have not seen since my college days, with more energy.
